STICKS AND STONES COMEDY CLUB brings the best and brightest live comedy and other performance art to our elegant and intimate theater in the heart of one of the most beautiful and talked-about villages in the world – Southampton, NY. There used to be a booming comedy club here in the 1980s. Judd Apatow saw many great comedians perform when he was just a teenager, because his mom waitressed there. Famed comedy manager Rick Messina (Drew Carey and Tim Allen) used to be the club’s manager. So many comedy stars performed in this beautiful beach town, and now, we’re making our stage in Southampton come alive again! Started by the team that created the HBO-sponsored Hamptons Comedy Festival, established in 2000, Sticks and Stones Comedy producers have a long track record of presenting comedy stars, national headliners and cutting edge new talent. At Sticks and Stones Comedy Club, creative expression is paramount and sacrosanct — and inspired by the spirit of George Carlin — we aim to push boundaries and expose truths, while entertaining, growing and expanding ever-forward. Come laugh with us tonight!
The Team behind Sticks and Stones Comedy Club also produced the sold-out UCB series The Status Show in Los Angeles, featuring performers such as Marc Maron and Maria Bamford; the Soupy Sales Friars Club Award for Special Achievement in Comedy Arts; and the Chris Rock-executive produced film Eat Drink Laugh: The Story of The Comic Strip, on Apple TV and Amazon. The Sticks and Stones Comedy Club ethos is rooted in the idea that ‘laughter is the best medicine’ and that comedy promotes wellness. Our team works with and supports nonprofit Comedy Fights Cancer/Laughter Promotes Healing, which brings comedy into hospitals and care facilities, including Southampton Hospital and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Over 20 years, Comedy Fights Cancer has brought hundreds of comics to thousands of people who need humor the most.
