Singing Workshop
Sundays, June 25, July 23, and August 20 | 3-4:30pm
Do you have a new-found passion for singing? Feeling rusty after a prolonged absence from singing? Seeking an excuse to warm up your voice and gather in community music-making? Join the Choral Society of the Hamptons for a tailored workshop series for experienced and beginner singers alike. Presented in partnership with the Southampton Cultural Center, each 90-minute session will focus on different areas of individual and group singing, led by expert vocal performers, choral conductors, and clinicians. Following each session, attendees are invited to an informal reception with refreshments from local purveyors. Attend one! Attend them all.

Instructors & Dates
Christine Cadarette studied piano at The Juilliard School, particularly with Marshall Wiliamson, and was appointed staff accompanist /coach for the school’s evening division. She also held the position of accompanist for Circle in the Square’s Graduate Drama division, and subsequently assumed the posts of Co-orchestrator and Music Director for the Obie-award winning Wizard of Oz in Concert at Lincoln Center. Other major theatrical associations include Associate Conductor of Annie on Broadway, national tours of Beauty and the Beast and Little Shop of Horrors. She currently teaches voice, piano, composition and harp on the East End as well as serving as accompanist for The Choral Society. Recently she as appointed organist and Musical Director for The Church of the Most Holy Trinity in East Hampton.
Stephanie Friede

Stephanie Friede, one of the most in-demand international sopranos, was born in New York City and is a graduate of Julliard and the Oberlin Conservatory of Music.
Important appearances during the last years include: “Minnie” in Puccini’s LA FANCIULLA DEL WEST, e.g. at the New National Theatre, Tokyo, the New York City Opera, at the VlaamseOpera, Antwerpen, at the Zurich Opera and at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Stephanie Friede has appeared regularly at the Zurich Opera e.g. as “Minneleide” in Pfitzner’s ROSE VOM LIEBESGARTEN, in the title role of Strauss’ SALOME (under Valery Gergiev) “Sieglinde” in DIE WALKÜRE and “Brünnhilde” in SIEGFRIED (Franz Welser-Möst / Robert Wilson), and at Oper Graz the title role of Strauss’ ELEKTRA. She sang the role of “Die Färberin” in Strauss’ DIE FRAU OHNE SCHATTEN, e.g. at the Vlaamse Opera, Oper Graz and at the New National Theatre, Tokyo. She sang the title-role in LADY MACBETH VON MZENSK at the New National Theatre, Tokyo, “Foreign Princess” in RUSALKA at La Monnaie, de Munt, Bruxelles, “Elisabeth” in TANNHÄUSER at the Eutiner Festspiele as well as “Venus” in TANNHÄUSER at the Bayreuther Festspiele.
