Christiaan Padavan is a pop and soul singer-songwriter from Hampton Bays, New York, known for his heartfelt performances and engaging storytelling. He gained national attention as a contestant on Season 17 of American Idol on ABC Network, where he earned a golden ticket to Hollywood with his renditions of “Vienna” by Billy Joel, “Toxic” by Britney Spears, and “Theme from New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra.
Beyond his American Idol appearance, Padavan has built a strong local presence on Long Island. He has been recognized as Dan’s Papers’ “Best Local Musician” for two consecutive years and has performed at various venues across the East End.
In 2024, Padavan released Songs For My Grandparents, a jazz album featuring classics from artists like Dean Martin and Nat King Cole. The project was recorded live at Cove City Sound Studios with Tedd Firth on Long Island and was inspired by his late grandfather.
His debut pop/soul EP, THE CP EP, released also in 2024, showcases his evolution as an artist. The EP delves into themes of love and heartbreak, offering listeners an intimate glimpse into his personal experiences.
Tedd Firth is a New York City based musical director, pianist and arranger. As musical director and accompanist he has worked with Michael Feinstein, Bernadette Peters, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Marilyn Maye, Melissa Errico, Tom Wopat, Barbara Cook, Maureen McGovern, Elaine Paige, Leslie Uggams, Joshua Bell, Christine Ebersole, Betty Buckley, Lucie Arnaz, Lee Ann Womack, Faith Prince, Margaret Whiting, Carol Sloane and many others.
Among the jazz musicians he has performed or recorded with are John Pizzarelli, Houston Person, Frank Wess, Mark Whitfield, Red Holloway, Benny Golson and Joe Morello.
Recent highlights include being the musical director for the reunion of the original Broadway cast of “Into The Woods” at the Segerstrom Center For The Arts in Costa Mesa, CA as well as serving as musical director for Michael Feinstein’s “Jazz and Popular Song” concert series at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
New York appearances include Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Blue Note, Birdland, the Iridium, the Algonquin, the Cafe Carlyle and Feinstein’s at the Regency. Numerous national appearances include two performances at the White House.
As an arranger and orchestrator, Tedd’s work has been performed by all major American symphony orchestras as well as Liza Minnelli. In 2013, Tedd was commissioned by the New York Pops to create new orchestrations for “A Charlie Brown Christmas” which has had numerous performances across the country in subsequent years.
Television appearances include “The Today Show,” “Live From Lincoln Center” and “All My Children.”
