Over 50 years later I think about him every day and so supporting Organizations like “Paws of War\,” which rescues and pairs Service Dogs with Veterans and First Responders\, is a continuation to Honor and show the importance of Canines/Animals and also in honoring the memory of “King.” \nPLUS Pal-O-Mine that works to provide Solace for Veterans with Horses with their Military Programs. On View will be a series of JM’s New East End Paintings that take you on an adventure\, a New “Flag” inspired for JM’s Vietnam “Life Goes On 4” Series called “The Old Barn\,” Westhampton\, and a Heroic Horse and Service Dog series of Paintings inspired from JM interviewing these organizations that help others dealing with the same PTSD afirmity. A Video Premiere will take place where John visited these organizations\, learned about their synergies of how they are all finding solace for PTSD and “doing something” good for others. Many of JM’s “East End” Paintings were inspired by his perspective growing up in historic Southampton\, Watermill and Sagaponack where his heritage goes back to the 1890’s. “Getting to the know the East End circa 1950 has served as a great Original Wellspring for my inspiration and paintings today.” –JM \nVideo Times: \n\nIntro – 4:30 pm\nPart 4 Premiere – 4:40 pm\nPart 4 – 5:10 pm\nPart 1 – 5:40 pm\nPart 2 – 6:10 pm\nPart 3 – 6:40 pm\n7:oo pm – Event Ends!

DESCRIPTION:Youth Talent Showcase\nThursday\, August 15\, 6:00 pm \nThe Southampton Youth Bureau\, in partnership with the Southampton Cultural Center\, is hosting a summer Youth Talent Showcase featuring the diverse talents of local youth\, taking place in Southampton Village’s Agawam Park\, on Thursday\, August 15\, at 6:00 p.m. \nThe showcases are open to students in fifth through 12th grades. Participants will have the opportunity to perform in a variety of categories\, including acoustic music\, duets\, bands\, karaoke\, spoken word\, poetry\, and comedic acts. Featured performers will include honorees from this year’s Hamptons Got Talent and Battle of the Bands events. Additional acts are welcome to apply. \nTo participate\, all acts must preregister by Friday\, August 2. Time slots are limited\, so early registration is encouraged. Interested participants can preregister by calling 631-702-2425 or by visiting southamptontownny.gov/ybpayment. The event is free and those attending should bring blankets or chairs to sit on.

DESCRIPTION:ROSES AT TWILIGHT:\nPARIS IN THE BELLE EPOQUE \nTuesday\, August 20\,\n6:30 pm\nThe Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary\nThis is a free event! \nJoin stunning soprano (and SCC board member) Sarah Moulton Faux\, violin virtuoso Junko Ohtsu (friend of the SCC)\, and brilliant pianist/conductor Tyson Deaton in an elegant program of French salon favorites.  These acclaimed artists will perform a graceful\, one-hour-long concert including Chopin’s Nocturne\, Op. 9\, No 2 in Eb Major\, Faure’s Nell\, Eva Dell’Aqua’s Villanelle\, Pauline Viardot’s Berceuse\, Massenet’s Meditation from “Thais”\, Bachelet’s Chere Nuit\, Puccini’s Quando m’en vo\, and Manuel de Falla/Kreisler’s Danse Espagnole from “La Vida Breve”. \nThis free concert is a collaboration between the Southampton Cultural Center and the  Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.  Donations to either or both of these worthy institutions would be greatly appreciated.

DESCRIPTION:Life Goes On Part 4 – Reception #2\nwith Pal-O-Mine Equestrian Military Programs\n \nSunday\, August 25\n1:00-4:00 pm \n“Life Goes On Part 4” ART & Video Exhibition is going to be a continuation in me honoring my Canine “King” that I worked with in Vietnam that not only saved my life but I became so close to that we almost functioned as one. Over 50 years later I think about him every day and so in supporting Organizations like “Paws of War” that rescues and pairs Service Dogs with Veterans and First Responders is a continuation to Honor and show the importance of Canine’s/Animals and also in honoring the memory of “King.” \nPLUS Pal-O-Mine that works to provide Solace for Veterans with Horses with their Military Programs. On View will be a series of JM’s New East End Paintings that take you on an adventure\, a New “Flag” inspired for JM’s Vietnam “Life Goes On 4” Series called “The Old Barn\,” Westhampton\, and a Heroic Horse and Service Dog series of Paintings inspired from JM interviewing these organizations that help others dealing with the same PTSD afirmity. A Video Premiere will take place where John visited these organizations\, learned about their synergies of how they are all finding solace for PTSD and “doing something” good for others. Many of JM’s “East End” Paintings were inspired by his perspective growing up in historic Southampton\, Watermill and Sagaponack where his heritage goes back to the 1890’s. “Getting to the know the East End circa 1950 has served as a great Original Wellspring for my inspiration and paintings today.” – JM \nYou don’t want to Miss this! It’s all about bringing the Community together!
