SUMMARY:Canceled Due to Rain - Youth Talent Showcases
DESCRIPTION:Youth Talent Showcases\nThursday\, August 8\, 6:30 pm\nThursday\, August 15\, 6:00 pm \nThe Southampton Youth Bureau\, in partnership with the Southampton Cultural Center\, is offering two summer Youth Talent Showcases featuring the diverse talents of local youth. Both will take place in Southampton Village’s Agawam Park\, the first on Thursday\, August 8 and the second on Thursday\, August 15\, both starting at 6:30 p.m. \nThe showcases are open to students in fifth through 12th grades. Participants will have the opportunity to perform in a variety of categories\, including acoustic music\, duets\, bands\, karaoke\, spoken word\, poetry\, and comedic acts. Featured performers will include honorees from this year’s Hamptons Got Talent and Battle of the Bands events. Additional acts are welcome to apply. \nTo participate\, all acts must preregister by Friday\, August 2. Time slots are limited\, so early registration is encouraged. Interested participants can preregister by calling 631-702-2425 or by visiting southamptontownny.gov/ybpayment. The event is free and those attending should bring blankets or chairs to sit on.
